Abandonment

Grotesque Souls

I believe I have led a most fulfilling life just at the age of 27, some say that's not old enough to experience life or love but of-course, I'll just disagree and leave it at that with a few stories that follow.

In Huey town, Alabama 1982, just 2 years before I was even though about, My mother, brother, and father moved to a small trailer park. It was believed to be a great neighborhood with great school districts. My mother and father finally got settled down with a new life and enrolled my brother into school. everything was going great, until strange things started to happen around my brother.

Every morning for school my mother would rush through the house getting ready while my brother sits in front of the TV and watches cartoons like any other typical child would do. 1982, just two weeks of moving into a new home my brother sits comfortably in front of the TV again watching cartoons, Suddenly he starts to scream for mom," What's wrong with you" she replied. With an angry expression my brothers face he responds "Please stop turning the TV off of my cartoons," with a smirk on my mother's face, she began to check the plug and knob and went back to the bathroom to finish where she left off.

The bus drops off my brother at the doorstep by himself every day after school around 2:45 pm awaiting the arrival of our mom at 3:00 pm. He walks inside nearing the bathroom to wash up to quickly pass his bedroom with a small vague glimpse of a woman standing in his room near his bed. He realizes he had seen a figure that wasn't mom standing their and stopped in tracks just past his room. He began to back up with wide eyes and a billion chill bumps all the way down his back, peaking in the room from a corner, he says nothing at all and proceeds to the bathroom.

Same night around 10:30 pm and every one is a sleep. Mom get's up to go to the bathroom and washes her face from sweating really bad, she hears a strange noise in the narrow hall way and peeks out to find nothing. Shutting the bathroom door and locking it, she than starts the shower to cool off. The door knob begun to turn and rattle violently and she yells at my brother who always plays jokes to stop turning the knob. He awakes  to hear her yelling at him and as he responds," I'm in bed mommy". Her eyes lit up with fear and immediately marched in his room to find him still tucked in the way she left him.

My brother awoke to find all his covers and toys in one corner, so he started to scream for mom and dad. They rushed in the room to see the same thing. My dad asked him why he did that and to clean it up, my mom gave him a uncertain look that day as if she believed him but said nothing. He got dressed and headed to school like a typical day. 2:45 pm the bus drops him at home for him to find the door unlocked and wide open with every window. He runs to the neighbors house next door and awaits mom's arrival. The cops was called to inspect as if a burglar rampaged the house and left every thing behind.

Every thing calm down for the night until about 1:00 am. Every one is peacefully a sleep, except my brother who has been nodding off for the last 5 hours. He closes his eyes again and he starts to hear crackling sounds nearing him, he throws the blanket over his head but it nears him. With out warning the bed begins to rattle, shake, and it started to float, he screams at the top of his lungs awaking both our parents with the sound of breaking dishes, they both jump up run into the bedroom with him to find his bed to drop to the floor. He jumps out of the bed into mothers arms. My father ran into the kitchen to find only the sound of breaking dishes, a cross upside down on the wall, a rumbling sound through the whole house. The TV even cut on while unplugged. My dad told them to get a few close that their gonna go stay at our grandmothers house for the week.

Packing up the noise started to die down a small bit to then realize getting to the front door to leave was not what they expected. Swarms of Locus surrounded every window front outside and the sound of Bee's near the the front door. My father throws open the door and pulls the three of them through it all toward the car, to view the lights kicking on and off door and windows opening and slamming shut. He cranked the car and sped away and left every thing behind with no intent to go and get anything they owned. Just two weeks later in the papers read the following, "The small Trailer on so & so street just unexpectedly blew up due to a faulty gas line, no bodies where found and contact to owners are being made".

Personal opinion would be "it wasn't a gas line at all". This was a story told by my now adult brother and my mother at separate times exactly how written.  Believe in ghost / demons or anything you will call it, it creeps me out and I'm glad I was born 2 years later.
