100 Acres

The camping trip my wife and I have been discussing for quite some time now has finally be sought out and completed. Kristen (my wife) booked us a camping sight for a four day stay in Dahlonega, Georgia. We packed our car with all the camping supplies and headed that away. Maybe a 2 hour ride at worst from home, and well worth it.

We made it to the iron electronic gate to the camp site. horrible instructions, terrible responses, and the cake topper was we finally arrive to find its a open lot that looks like an abandoned park with what appeared to be stationary homes on them, or RV's I guess I should say.

The lady requested $40.00 for the whole stay which isn't a bad rate considering its camping. I personally wanted to see the sites before paying since it looked like a scene from the horror movies. The movies where the guy always end up face down an violated and the woman kidnapped, well not this guy or this day. We got the heck out of there and hauled tale to the nearest store for some free Wifi.

We wound up at a Kroger/Starbucks, god I must say "mmmmmm Starbucks" My man cave!
Booted the lap top up and began our next search into the wild. Finding a random site just up the road from us, it was like a dream and my wife and I were in it. It has 100+ acres , Horses, bathhouse, and the owner was just 100 yards away in his personal home. We jumped on this. it only cost $25.00 for a night. There are 100+ acres all to our selves by the way. just the stars, moon, and beautiful Horses roaming around.

We cooked drunk chicken on a open camp fire that night, roasted peanuts, marshmallows, and mac N cheese lol. We had electric and only used lights, which was a great move since the moon can not light every thing up at once.

The next day we had to be at a horse ride event/BBQ/Wine Taste. It was part of our living social package we booked online prior to all of this. We drove maybe 15 minutes up the road to the event where all this will take place. After getting situated and signed in, the group hosting the rides started pointing fingers at those who should ride what Horse, well I landed Rambo.. The ride lasted nearly an hour and went great for me, my wife on the other hand had a ruff horse to deal with, loll a bit of a butt if I might say so my self.

After the horse ride we all saddled up for a carriage ride to a BBQ cook out on the mountain top. Not much to really say about this one other than it was good I was full and very happy. Now, to the fun part where every one gets a bit tipsy at the Vineyard. Kristen and I drove to Wine Vineyard Monteluci. Its one of the 5th largest Vineyards in the world.

Ten of us were placed and a long table in a beautiful room with a great setting to it. The room consisted of Wines, Cheeses and some greenery that was grown at Monteluci. We all started off with the White wine at first, "my favorite by the way", then worked our way up to the red. "I'm not a big fan of the red"! I downed them all and ate every bit of the cheese loll. I was feeling great.

We parted ways and went back to our 100+ acres and decided to pack up due to horrible weather that day. The time was short and the experience great a memory to share another day.
